Cookbooks- The Original White House Cookbook — Frankly, I prefer these recipes over newer ones: they're simpler, shorter, generally easier to make, and taste better too. This intriguing cookbook was originally published in 1887, and besides all the recipes, it contains handy household information at the end (how to relieve pain with hot water, how to cure "leanness", how to fireproof a dress.) 570 pages. 7 7/8" x 10 1/8".
